Over the years, we’ve seen some major talent arise from the city of Brampton, especially within the music scene.
Boasting an urban vibe and a diverse culture, it’s no wonder so many artists are inspired in Brampton.
Among these artists is a Canadian rapper, singer and songwriter, Daystar Peterson, best known by his stage name Tory Lanez, who will be taking the stage this Sunday, February 23, 2020, at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto.
After receiving recognition back in 2013, Lanez was later signed to Benny Blanco’s Mad Love Records through Interscope Records and released his debut studio album, I Told You in 2016.
This year, Tory Lanez and three other Brampton artists have been recognized with nominations for the 2020 JUNO Awards, a coveted Canadian music awards celebration that acknowledges Canadian musical artists and bands.
The other three nominations were issued to Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez and Exco Levi.
Lanez’s upcoming show is set to begin at 8:00 p.m.
