Third person charged in Brampton firearms investigation

A 23-year-old woman is the third person to face multiple firearms charges connected tothat stem from a 911 emergency call in Brampton three-and-a-half months ago.
Back on Nov. 5, Peel Regional Police officers responded to emergency call regarding possible shots fired near Russell Creek Dr. and Inspire Blvd.. The ensuing investigation led to a search warrant being conducted at a residence that resulted in the seizure of two loaded handguns and a quantity of ammunition. Four days later, two people were charged with a skein of offences in connection to that investigation.
Peel police announced charges against Sarika Bhasoola, 23, from Orangeville, on Friday evening. She was held for a bail hearing and appeared in a Brampton court.
Bhasoola faces the following alleged criminal offences:
- Careless use of a firearm
- Possession of a loaded firearm
- Discharge of a firearm in a reckless manner
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Failure to comply with undertaking
Gurkamal Deol, 34, and Naveen Deol, 31, both of Brampton, were also charged back in November.
