Though the evenings are cooling to fall-like temperatures, don’t let that stop you from enjoying some exciting activities in Mississauga. Throw on a coat or some warm layers and check out these events happening from Sept. 20 to Sept. 22:


September 20

The Egyptian Coptic Festival

Established in 2018, this event is North America’s largest celebration for Canadians of Egyptian Coptic descent. Hosted at Mississauga Celebration Square, it offers a vibrant showcase of Egyptian culture through music, arts, history and traditional cuisine. The festival draws thousands of attendees and features over 40 local businesses. Visitors can enjoy family-friendly activities, live shows, documentaries and a variety of vendors. Admission is free.

The Ennis Sisters Concert

The Ennis Sisters, known for their captivating sibling harmonies, have been delighting audiences for over 25 years. The Juno Award-winning trio are touring Ontario with a new show that celebrates the songs and stories of their home province, Newfoundland and Labrador and its rich cultural heritage. Tickets start at $47.50.

El Ceibo – Rhythms of Home

Experience an evening of Argentinian folk music and dance at the Living Arts Centre as El Ceibo takes the audience on a journey through the country’s diverse landscapes. The performance blends the characteristic harmonies, melodies and rhythms of traditional Argentinian music with elements of contemporary Western music. Tickets start at $12.71.

September 21

Butter Tarts and More Market

Experience all that the Village of Streetsville has to offer at the Butter Tarts & More Market. Featuring over 60 local and small business owners, the market showcases a variety of butter tarts, baked goods, sweet treats, and marketplace vendors. Admission is also free.

Taste of Cooksville

This free street festival returns to Cooksville Four Corners in Mississauga. It will feature international cuisine, a beverage garden, live music and family-friendly activities.

Teatime at Benares Historic House

Enjoy a cream tea service with sweet and savoury treats, followed by a guided tour of Benares Historic House. Spaces are limited, and advance registration is required. Tickets start at $22.

Kaleidoscope Golden Autumn Gala 2024

This performance, which will be held at the Living Arts Centre, features a rich repertoire of cultural dances, vocal works, fashion shows, operatic pieces and instrumental music. It offers a dynamic blend of dance, theatre, singing, acting and stunning costumes. Tickets start at $25, plus applicable fees.

Harmonics by BluPrint

Connecting Cultures

Happening at the Living Arts Centre, Connecting Cultures is a feel-good experience that unites nationalities and celebrates diversity and inclusion through music. Performers Justice Kumari, Imadh, LegatoMuzic, Fame Holiday, Dahlia, J R Blessington and Robyn Michaud will come together on one stage, igniting positive vibrations and celebrating oneness and wellness.

University of Toronto Mississauga Community Ride

Get ready for a day of cycling and community bonding at the UTM Community Ride. The event is open to cyclists of all skill levels and aims to bring riders together to explore scenic routes around Mississauga.

It’s a great chance to meet new people, enjoy the outdoors and stay active. Participants can expect stunning views, exciting challenges and plenty of fun. Visitors are asked to note that parking on the U of T Mississauga Campus requires payment, while free parking is available nearby at Erindale Park.

Port Credit Farmers’ Market

Discover artisanal fare and unique gifts as you stroll along the scenic lakeshore. Make a day of it by exploring nearby parks and visiting the iconic Port Credit Lighthouse.

One Million Trees Planting Event at City View Park

Celebrate National Forest Week at City View Park by helping the City of Mississauga work toward its goal of planting one million trees.

Participants must pre-register online and should dress for the weather, wearing closed-toed shoes and long pants. Equipment, including shovels, will be provided— though you are welcome to bring your own. Staff will be available on-site to sign off on volunteer hours for youth under 18.

September 22

Mississauga Walk N’ Roll 4 Mito 2024

Join the 9th Annual Mississauga Walk N’ Roll 4 Mito at Lake Aquitaine Park. Founded by Louise Gibson, who, along with her sister Rita, lived with mitochondrial disease. The event raises funds for MitoCanada.

During World Mitochondrial Disease Week, participants are invited to walk, run, cycle, or rollerblade to make a difference in the lives of those affected. Funds raised contribute to advancing research and promoting mitochondrial health.

Toronto-Mississauga Vinyl Record & Collectibles Show

Ontario’s largest record show returns, featuring 60 independent vendors across Ontario and Quebec. Over 80 tables display nearly 100,000 vinyl LPs and 45s, cassettes, CDs, DVDs, t-shirts, memorabilia and books on artist biographies and photo collections, making the event a must for music enthusiasts.

Held at the Etobicoke Olympium, admission is $5, with free parking available.

Lakeview Farmers Market

Held at the picturesque Small Arms Inspection Building, this community event showcases local talent through food, art, and craftsmanship. Visitors can explore displays featuring unique trinkets and beautiful creations from local artisans.
