Fall vibes are here and with it comes an exciting lineup of events to experience in the city this season. From concerts supporting local and global causes to arts and cultural festivals, there’s something for everyone. Here’s what’s happening from Oct. 4 to Oct. 6:
October 4
The festival will take place at Square One Shopping Centre and bring cozy fall vibes to Mississauga with rides, games, and a harvest marketplace. Activities include a pumpkin patch and haystack photo ops, free giveaways and contests, carousel and train rides, performances and live music, face painting, inflatables and some of the best food trucks around.
Where: 100 City Centre Dr. ( P6 Parking Lot).

Out of the Vault – (Sept. 26 to Dec. 15)
The Bradley Museum will host an exhibition marking the City of Mississauga’s 50th anniversary. In celebration of this milestone, the Museums of Mississauga have hidden 50 artifact markers from their historic collection throughout the city as part of the History Hunt. Starting September 26, these artifacts will be taken “out of the vault” and displayed at the museum.
Visitors are invited to explore the unique stories behind each artifact, offering a glimpse into Mississauga’s rich heritage over the past five decades.

ABBA Revisited
Known internationally, ABBA Revisited captivates audiences with energetic performances and faithful recreations of ABBA’s music. With a strong fan base, the band brings the sound and spirit of ABBA to life in an unforgettable show.

October 5
The & Festival Mississauga
An annual celebration of creative writing and publishing, hosted by The Ampersand Review and the Honours Bachelor of Creative Writing & Publishing at Sheridan College. The festival brings together Canada’s writing and publishing communities through an inspiring keynote, interactive workshops and insightful panels that explore both craft and industry. The event will culminate with a celebratory soirée to announce the winner of The Ampersand Review’s Essay Contest.

The concert will take place at Port Credit Secondary School’s auditorium to support Bangladesh flood victims, SickKids Foundation and Trillium Health Partners. Kumar Bishwajit and Samina Chowdhury will perform. Food stalls will also be available.

The Arts of the Middle East Festival
The event, which will take place at Celebration Square, will feature various programs and performances by Middle Eastern celebrities. It aims to build a bridge between Middle Eastern and Arabic arts and the broader Canadian community.

Time: 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Port Credit Farmers’ Market
Discover artisanal fare and unique gifts as you stroll along the scenic lakeshore. Make a day of it by exploring nearby parks and visiting the iconic Port Credit Lighthouse.

Salaam Rahman concert
Presented by Sampradaya Dance Creations, this event celebrates the musical genius of A R Rahman. Featuring over 30 dancers across diverse styles, the performance blends Rahman’s iconic compositions with vibrant dance, accompanied by live music from both the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra and an Indian Orchestra.

The Ring Seller (Traditional Lebanese Village Play)
It is a story set in a traditional Lebanese village where life is turned upside down after the Mayor fabricates an altercation with a villain named Rajeh. The fictitious tale spreads, causing fear and chaos among the villagers. The Mayor’s niece, Rima, grows uneasy when she encounters a stranger also named Rajeh, who wishes to meet with the Mayor. In a surprising twist, the stranger arrives during an engagement celebration and reveals he brings handcrafted jewelry. The Mayor embraces Rajeh as a good spirit who shares the gift of love and happiness in marriage.

October 6
Lakeview Farmers Market
Held at the picturesque Small Arms Inspection Building, this community event showcases local talent through food, art, and craftsmanship. Visitors can explore displays featuring unique trinkets and beautiful creations from local artisans.

Time: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Jam with us!
Movers, musicians, singers, actors, designers and creatives of all kinds and levels are invited to this improvisational jam session, facilitated by Bri Clarke of the Artversations Podcast. The session is PWYC (pay-what-you-can) with donations going towards The Art Shelter, or participants can bring a snack to share with the group.

Festival of Arabic Music & Arts: Im Hussein
Im Hussein was first introduced when AJYAL founder, Najee, had to step in to play the character due to an emergency just days before the character’s debut. Since then, her antics have left audiences laughing, and she has become a memorable caricature, with episodes that feel all too familiar. The hilarious AJYAL Theatrical Troupe joins the Festival of Arabic Music and Arts for the first time in its 8th edition to present Im Hussein in “My One and Only” in Mississauga.
