From cultural festivals to hands-on activities, there’s something for all ages to enjoy. Here’s what’s happening around the city from Oct. 11 to Oct. 14.
October 11
Store Sale Weekly Event
Explore exclusive deals on health and wellness gear at Paradise Wellness. The event will feature discounted treadmills, leg massagers and more. There will also be product demos and expert advice to help you find the perfect equipment for your fitness goals.

Out of the Vault – (Sept. 26 to Dec. 15)
The Bradley Museum will host an exhibition marking the City of Mississauga’s 50th anniversary. In celebration of this milestone, the Museums of Mississauga have hidden 50 artifact markers from their historic collection throughout the city as part of the History Hunt. Starting September 26, these artifacts will be taken “out of the vault” and displayed at the museum.
Visitors are invited to explore the unique stories behind each artifact, offering a glimpse into Mississauga’s rich heritage over the past five decades.

Diwali RazzMatazz
Kick off the Diwali festivities with Diwali RazzMatazz a vibrant celebration hosted by Indo-Canada Arts at Mississauga Celebration Square. This family-friendly event offers Bollywood performances, musical concerts, dance, a Diwali bazaar, kids’ rides, a lucky draw and exciting prizes. Food vendors will showcase authentic and ethnic dishes, capturing the true spirit of Diwali.

The festival will take place at Square One Shopping Centre and bring cozy fall vibes to Mississauga with rides, games, and a harvest marketplace. Activities include a pumpkin patch and haystack photo ops, free giveaways and contests, carousel and train rides, performances and live music, face painting, inflatables and some of the best food trucks around.

Fire Prevention Week 2024 – Open House
Garry W. Morden Centre will celebrate fire prevention week, centered around the theme “Smoke Alarms: Make Them Work for You.” The event features a live burn demonstration at 12 p.m., where attendees can witness firsthand how smoke alarms can save lives in emergencies. Enjoy family-friendly activities, meet with fire and city service teams and take advantage of free food and coffee.

Shaukat Khanum Fundraising Gala Dinner
The Capitol Banquet Centre will host the Shaukat Khanum Fundraising Gala Dinner in support of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, currently under construction in Karachi. The event promises an inspiring evening, bringing the community together for an important cause.
