October 4

Newcomer Creative Exchange: Art for Wellness

For the sixth session of BAO’s Newcomer Creative Exchange, participants are invited to an evening of art as a wellness practice. The event is designed for Brampton-based newcomer creatives to gather, network, create, and learn in a supportive environment. Food and drinks will be available throughout the event, offering opportunities to connect with others and potentially collaborate.

PPA Da Mela (Pakistani Punjabi Association) 

This event, which takes place at Erindale Park, is a desi-themed mela (fair) featuring a day of food, fun, and classic carnival games.

Navli Navratri 2024

Mihir Oza presents Navli Navratri 2024, featuring Rushi Purohit and Group.

Cost: $35 per person. Children under four years of age are free

Doors Open 2024

Taking place at the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives, visitors will have the opportunity to explore heritage buildings and examine archival records, historical artifacts and artwork. Attendees will also be able to participate in cultural programs under this year’s theme of “Adaptive Reuse.”

Interactive Storytime for Early Learning

This session, which will be held at the Cyril Clark Branch, focuses on promoting early learning through songs, stories, and play. Families are invited to participate.

Brampton Model Railway Show

The trade fair, organized by Canadian Express Line, will take place at Brampton Fairgrounds. Visitors can explore a variety of transportation-related exhibits and displays.

DIWALI FIESTA 2024

Taking place at the Courtyard Toronto, this event celebrates the vibrant traditions of Navratri, Karwa Chauth and Diwali with food, music and cultural festivities.

October 6

Navarang Navratri Festival

The event will feature the acclaimed Neha Hiren performing live. Bring your family and friends to celebrate with dance and other cultural festivities.

Cost: Tickets start at $25, and children under three years old are free.


Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure

Participants can choose between a 5km or 1km walk or run, with all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society in support of breast cancer research.

Big Walk Family Event for Cancer Support

This event, which takes place at Chinguacousy Park, celebrates unity and resilience while raising funds and awareness for the Wellspring Chinguacousy Cancer Support Centre. Activities include music, a lively warm-up, a 10 a.m. walk through the park and post-walk fun with food, dance, and games.

Healthy Living Aging Well, Seniors Information Fair

This free event will take place at the Bob Callahan Flower City Seniors Centre and will promote healthy living and aging for seniors. The fair will feature 40 exhibitors offering information, services products for seniors, guest speakers on senior-related topics, on-site wellness checks, giveaways, raffles and fun activities.
