There are plenty of fun events happening in Brampton this weekend including the final round of Diwali celebrations, comedy shows, musical tributes and tech workshops. Here’s what’s happening from Nov. 1 to Nov. 3:


November 1

RED FM Diwali Dhamaka 

Join RED FM Canada at the Pearson Convention Center for a day filled with live performances featuring Himmat Sandhu, festive shopping, delicious food and a kids’ zone.

We Will Rock You Musical – (Nov. 1 to Nov. 10, 2024)

Experience the iconic music of Queen with Brampton Music Theatre’s production of We Will Rock You. This high-energy musical follows two rebels on a mission to save rock ‘n’ roll in a world controlled by algorithms. Featuring hits like “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Are the Champions,” and “Don’t Stop Me Now,” it’s a celebration of individuality and the power of music.

Brampton’s Diwali Mela 

Residents are invited to celebrate Diwali at Brampton’s Diwali Mela, where they can enjoy a spectacular City-organized fireworks display in a safe, family-friendly environment. This free event features main-stage performances by local and international artists, including Gurpreet Maan, G. Sidhu, Chani Nattan, and Inderpal Moga. The evening also includes dynamic performances from the Nachdi Jawani Bhangra Team, Taaj Entertainment, and DJ Prince, along with various culinary delights.

November 2

Brampton Men’s Horseshoe Banquet 

Join the Brampton Men’s Horseshoe Club for an evening of camaraderie and celebration at the annual banquet, which will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion. This event offers an opportunity to connect with fellow club members and enjoy an evening of festivities.

Brampton Library Tech Fair 

The Brampton Library Tech Fair at Gore Meadows Branch invites attendees to explore the latest technology, from drones and robots to rapid manufacturing and household gadgets. The fair includes workshops, speakers, activities and hands-on demonstrations for all ages and abilities. Attendees can connect with tech clubs, inventors, and businesses that will showcase innovations in robotics, 3D printing, coding, and more.

KISS Tribute “Destroyer”

Brampton Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu In-House Tournament

The Brampton BJJ In-House Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament is back and open to competitors of all ages and skill levels. The event guarantees each participant at least two matches, providing a day filled with friendly competition, skill and sportsmanship.
