As the end of August approaches, there’s still time to enjoy some exciting summer events. Here’s what’s happening in Brampton this weekend:


August 23

Movies Under the Stars

Catch the magic of movies under the stars with free, family-friendly outdoor screenings at Chinguacousy Park.

Movie: Ghostbusters—Frozen Empire

August 24

Jamaica Day

Sunrise Talent Program, a non-profit organization, will host the JAMAICA DAY Family Food & Music Festival at Brampton Sports Park this weekend. Since 1991, the event has promoted Jamaica’s heritage by featuring the island’s music, food, and spoken word in a family-friendly environment. The festival also supports communities through donations to food banks, seniors programs, youth scholarships, relief efforts, and artistic development.

Sports day

Attendees can connect with local minor sports groups to learn about youth leagues and other activities available in the Brampton community.

Summer Live Music Series

Visitors can stop by and enjoy local artists performing at various downtown businesses. This week will feature:

Taste of Brampton

The event will be happening at Brampton City Hall with food and live performances throughout the day. The lineup includes:
