Thieves use stolen backhoe to smash into Pickering mall and steal an ATM

Four brazen thieves used a stolen backhoe to smash the entrance at the Pickering City Centre and steal an ATM.

Durham Police responded to an alarm call at the mall early Tuesday morning after the four suspects used a construction backhoe loader the smash the front entrance to gain entry to the TD bank just before 4 a.m. Once inside the mall the thieves destroyed one ATM and stole a second before fleeing the area in a white Dodge Ram pick-up truck.
