These were the most popular baby names in 2020

If you had to guess the most popular baby names of recent years, what would you choose?

According to a news release from the Province, the most popular name for baby girls in Ontario for 2020 was Olivia, while the most popular name for boys was Noah—there were 933 baby Olivias and 841 baby Noahs.

In second place was Charlotte for baby girls, and Liam for baby boys.

Additionally, Emma, Ava, and Sophia round out the top five for girls, while Lucas, Benjamin, and Ethan round out the top five for boys.

Further, the Province encourages new parents to register their child’s birth within 30 days of welcoming them into the world.
