The sun in the blue sky.

We’ll see a bit of rain and sunshine as we head into the first week of August, but can also expect some extremely warm and very cool temperatures the next seven days.

According to Environment Canada, there is a 40 per cent  risk of a thunderstorm to hit Mississauga, Brampton and the southern parts of Ontario beginning Monday afternoon (July 31)— which could continue throughout the evening and is expected to clear up by midnight.  Temperatures will stay at a consistent 24 C for majority of the day before dropping to 11 C by the night.

Tuesday will bring a mix of sun and clouds with a 30 per cent chance of rain. Temperatures will stay at a comfortable 22 C and is anticipated to drop a whole 13 degrees to 9 C by the evening.  If you’re headed for a night time stroll, a good idea would be to grab a light jacket or a sweater, as this will mark the coolest night compared to the entire week!

By Wednesday the sky will clear up and sunshine will be prominent for the greater part of the day as temperatures rise to 24 C.

It seems like the sun will once again disappear by Thursday as a 30 per cent chance of precipitation is expected for both the morning and night.

The Weather Network predicts Friday’s temperatures to climb to 28 C but it will feel like a scorching 34 C.  Although the humidity might remain throughout the day, meteorologists say there is a 60 per cent chance of rain and if the conditions are favourable, a thunderstorm risk could also be on the cards.

With Saturday on the horizon, temperatures will stay at 24 C while some sunshine with cloudy periods will occupy most of the day.
