The first baby to be born in Mississauga didn’t wait very long into the new year.
Trillium Health Partners announced this morning that a baby girl was born at 38 seconds after midnight in Credit Valley Hospital.
Savreen was born to proud parents Simarpreet and Amandeep and big sister Aizel after arriving at 12:00:38 a.m. on January 1, 2023, weighing 6.8 pounds. Said the hospital: “We are happy to report that baby and mom are healthy and well.”
“It feels great to have the first baby born in Mississauga in the New Year!” said the parents. The whole family is shown below right.
“My birthday is December 31st, so we were wondering if she would be born on the 31st or the 1st. And then she was born just after midnight,” shared Simarpreet.
“This is a great way to start 2023. We wish everyone a happy new year!”
A quarter of an hour later, Brampton’s first baby – also a girl – landed at Brampton Civic Hospital this morning at 12:16 am to proud parents Jasmeet and Yadwinder, seen below left.
“Join us in congratulating the proud parents,” said the hospital.
