The largest Tesla showroom in Canada opened in Ontario this month.

The showroom officially opened at CF Lime Ridge Mall in Hamilton on Dec. 1, Cadillac Fairview said in a press release.

Taking over the space formerly occupied by The Bay Home and Home Outfitters, Tesla’s approximately 60,000 square foot space features a 5,000-square-foot state-of-the-art showroom and sales office space, a 4,500-square-foot customer service lounge, and the region’s only full scale service centre with 22 vehicle service lifts, Cadillac Fairview said.

Michael Peiser, VP of Development at Cadillac Fairview, told Retail Insider Tesla’s expansion into Hamilton was strategic, addressing a key gap in its service network between Toronto and Buffalo.

“At the time this project began in 2022, there was a massive hole in Tesla’s service coverage,” Peiser told Retail Insider. “From London to Buffalo, there was very little infrastructure to support Tesla owners. Hamilton—with its prime location on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway—made a lot of sense for filling that need.”

Located on level 2 on the east side of the shopping centre near entrance 4, the Tesla showroom features the brand’s latest line up of vehicles and supports service work on Tesla vehicles, including software updates, tire replacement, tire balancing, alignment and battery replacement.

The store location features seven new Tesla superchargers onsite, and the property has an additional 20 superchargers located in the south west overflow lot, off of Upper Wentworth, just north of the Lincoln Alexander Parkway.

Andy Traynor, general manager of CF Lime Ridge said the mall is thrilled about the opening.

“This highly anticipated opening reinforces our commitment to delivering best-in-class experiences and sets a new standard for retail excellence in Hamilton and the Golden Horseshoe,” said Traynor.
