Teacher at Mississauga religious school charged in sexual assault investigation

A 32-year-old man is facing multiple charges of sexual assault after alleged incidents last month at a religious school in Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police say, the accused, who was working as an instructor at the school in September is believed to have sexually assaulted two children.

Investigators have not disclosed the name of the school or additional details about the case. It is also unclear if there may be other victims.

Ahmed Alhajahmed—of no fixed address— was charged on Oct. 10 with two counts each of sexual assault and sexual interference.

Alhajahmed remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Brampton at a later date.

Investigators with the Special Victims Unit are asking any additional witnesses to come forward.
