Targeted shooting leaves one dead in Brampton

A Saturday night shooting in Brampton has left one man dead and police are on the hunt for his killer in what investigators say was a targeted slaying.
Peel Regional Police say the shooting took place in the area of Williams Pkwy. and James Potter Rd., southeast of Chinguacousy Rd., at about 10:30 p.m.
The shooting reportedly happened at St. Roch Catholic Secondary School.
Officers arriving on the scene found one man who had been fatally shot.
Police say the culprit or culprits had fled the scene by the time officers arrived.
According to Const. Tyler Bell-Morena, investigators are confident that it was not a random shooting and that the victim was targeted.
Police confirmed there were no other victims.
