‘Suspicious’ driver caught with 3 times legal limit for booze north of Brampton, police say

A call from a concerned citizen north of Brampton led to the arrest of an alleged impaired driver with three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system, police say.
The report about a “suspicious vehicle” on Horseshoe Hill Road near Beech Grove Side Road in Caledon came in shortly after 2 a.m. on Saturday, the OPP says.
Officers located the vehicle and said that they discovered the 30-year-old male driver from Waterloo was impaired by alcohol and had open liquor.
The driver had over three times the legal limit for booze in his system, police say.
The 30-year-old man from Waterloo was arrested and charged with multiple operation while impaired offences and one count of having care or control of motor vehicle with open container of liquor.
The incident has police reminding anyone who suspects a driver of operating while impaired by drugs or alcohol is encouraged to call 911 and report it when safe to do so.
