Suspects sought after another Brampton pharmacy robbery

Police respond to person in crisis in Brampton

Multiple suspects remain at large tonight following another pharmacy robbery in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police announce the robbery shortly after 8:30 p.m. on November 8. They had received the 911 call reporting the crime about 25 minutes earlier.

Police say, multiple suspects, though they did not specify how many, entered a pharmacy on Dixie Rd. and Lisa St. The area is home to a large shopping area and several apartment buildings.

The suspects made off with an unknown amount of money and narcotic drugs. Officers say no one was injured in the robbery and that the suspects fled the scene.

They have not provided any further details as yet and have not offered any suspect descriptions.

Pharmacies are a frequent target of robberies across the GTA, and many have been robbed in Brampton over the last several months. Insauga reported three such robberies in September alone and another in October.

From September 15 to October 15, police reported 68 robberies for an average of two everyday in Mississauga and Brampton.
