Suspect wore Mickey Mouse hat as victim robbed of $7,000 US at Burlington mall

Police are looking for this man following robbery at Burlington mall.
A man who had just received $7,000 US from a currency exchange located within Mapleview Mall had the cash stolen by a robber who confronted him in the parking lot.

Halton Police have since released a photo of the suspect and are looking for help in identifying him.

The incident happened on Dec. 18 around 7:40 p.m. when the victim left the currency exchange store in the mall and then headed out through the Sporting Life store exit.

As the victim was walking to his car, the suspect approached him and demanded the cash. A brief struggle ensued and the robber took the US currency.

The culprit then fled into a waiting 2011 white Kia Optima bearing Quebec marker AEB 76T. No weapons were seen. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned male with a short trimmed beard. He was wearing dark clothing, a black baseball cap with a Mickey Mouse emblem and a white and black patterned scarf.
