Sunny skies with a chance of rain this weekend in southern Ontario

A small chance of rain could sideline weekend plans but it’s looking mainly sunny in southern Ontario.
This weekend could be ideal to get out and enjoy some fine summer weather. However, those looking to head to a beach on Lake Ontario should check out the latest closures.
After heavy rain and flooding from Tuesday’s storm, there appears to be mainly sunny weather on tap for the weekend in southern Ontario, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Saturday (July 20), is expected to be mostly sunny with a high of 28 C, feeling like 33 C with the humidex in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton Region and Durham Region. Lows could get down to 14 C overnight.
It will be slightly cooler in Hamilton with a high of 27 C.
Sunday, temperatures drop to a high of around 23 C and lows of 14 C with a mix of sun and cloud.
There is a 30 per cent chance of showers on Sunday.
Temperatures are forecast to go back up again early next week with showers expected on Wednesday.
