A Mississauga intersection is shut down tonight due to foamy suds erupting out of the ground.
Peel Regional Police announced the “foam party” shortly before 7:30 p.m. January 6. They said the suds are coming up from the sewers at Dixie Rd. and Dundas St, a busy commercial area in the city’s east end near the border with Etobicoke.

The police video indicate the suds coming up with significant pressure as jets shoot up around officers. As a result lanes on the intersection have been closed.
There is no known cause for the bubbles as yet, and drivers are advised to steer clear of the area as police investigate.
“It’s not actually a foam party so please avoid the intersection while we figure out the problem,” they said.
