Streetsville’s Christmas in The Village brings holiday charm and family fun to Mississauga

It’s that wonderful time of the year again, and a ton of fun holiday events are happening soon in Mississauga’s historic neighbourhood of Streetsville.

On Friday, Nov. 22 and Saturday, Nov. 23, the picturesque village in the city will look like something right out of a Hallmark movie. All residents and visitors are invited to enjoy the traditional tree lighting ceremony, listen to live music, eat some maple taffy, get a photo with Santa, and take part in various family-friendly activities including the Polar Express train and horse-drawn carriage rides.

Not only is Christmas in the Village a completely free event, but shoppers who buy from participating Streetsville businesses from Nov. 22 to Dec. 24 can use their receipt(s) to enter the Shop The ‘Ville contest for a chance to win one of 3 great prizes, including the grand prize of a $500 Streetsville gift card and an overnight stay at The Hilton Mississauga with breakfast for two!

The holiday fun all happens in The Village Square and along Queen St South in Streetsville, a walkable and historic neighbourhood that’s bursting with small-town charm.

Here are 10 fun and festive things to check out during the weekend of the event:
