St. Catharines man charged for fatal collision last summer

The Niagara Police have just now laid charges in a fatal collision between a driver and a pedestrian last July in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

On July 11 at 9:30 pm, police were called to an accident Irvine Road where a southbound car had struck a pedestrian. The driver remained at the scene.

The pedestrian, a 41-year-old Niagara-on-the-Lake man, died of his injuries later in the hospital.

The accident has remained being investigated by the collision reconstruction unit and the office of the coroner since that time.

Yesterday (February 3), Cody Sullivan, 28, of St. Catharines was charged with dangerous driving causing death. He was released, pending a April 13, 2022 appearance in court.
