An automatic sprinkler system helped stop a fire at a Brampton business on Wednesday morning, firefighters say.
Around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Brampton Fire & Emergency Services said firefighters were called to a commercial property for reports of a fire near in the area of Williams Parkway and Airport Road.
One of Brampton’s new electric firetrucks and at least one other fire engine responded to the call, however, BFES says the flames were extinguished by an automatic sprinkler system before firefighters arrived.
Photos from the scene shared by BFES show fire crews working outside a strip mall with firefighters on an aerial ladder.
Fire crews worked to make sure the fire didn’t spread and ventilate the business, and BFES says no injuries were reported due to the blaze.
