The warmer weather is on its way, and Mississauga Celebration Square has a fun way to cool people off.
The square’s popular splash pad/water fountain opens today (May 20) for people of all ages to enjoy. It’s open daily, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
“Experience the magic of splashing away a hot summer day,” City of Mississauga officials say on the square’s web page. “Grab your bathing suits and head to the biggest wading pool in the city.”
Only steps from the water fountain, people will find food trucks, big screens and other exciting events happening in the square.
A wading pool attendant will be on-site at all times.
There are only a few simple rules, including that water shoes must be worn by those using the wading pool.
The City introduced some changes to the water fountain in 2019.

Celebration Square hosts a variety of free events throughout the spring and summer including several large festivals, concerts, movies, fitness classes and more.
The square is wheelchair-accessible, offers free Wi-fi and also features turf space and shaded gardens, food vendors and a licensed cafe, a 300-seat amphitheatre, two huge screens and a permanent stage for concerts and other events.
