It’s going to be a very windy weekend in Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville and Milton.
A special weather statement in effect for:
- Mississauga
- Brampton
- Hamilton
- Burlington
- Oakville
- Caledon
- Halton Hills
- Milton
There are very strong wind is expected Sunday.
The strong wind will gusts to 80 to 90 km/h. Localized gusts in excess of 100 km/h are possible.
There is a possibility of widespread power outages.
The winds will happen from Sunday morning and afternoon.
Strong southwest wind will develop late Sunday morning or early Sunday afternoon as a cold front moves through southern Ontario. Thunderstorms developing along this cold front may bring localized wind gusts in excess of 100 km/h.
