Snowstorm-related cancellations and delays at Mississauga’s Pearson Airport
Published February 19, 2022 at 1:19 pm
Travellers planning to be at Pearson Airport in Mississauga are advised to check for potential flight cancellations and delays.
Further delays and cancellations are likely today (Feb. 19) due to an ongoing snowstorm with rapidly falling snow and strong winds gusting up to 70 km/h, severely impacting visibility and travel conditions.
The airport responded to multiple Twitter users complaining about travellers missing their flights this morning, saying Pearson is “experiencing delays across the board.”
We apologize for any inconvenience however, due to unforeseen weather early this morning, we are experiencing delays across the board. Safe travels!

Those who are expecting to catch a plane at Pearson today are advised to:
- Check-in for your flight online
- Confirm flight status with the airline
- Arrive early for your flight
- Reserve parking online
The cause of the harsh weather is a sharp cold front tracking over southern Ontario, bringing areas of heavy snow and blowing snow that will continue until later this afternoon.
All residents should be aware of quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions and consider postponing any non-essential travel.
Pearson Airport’s website provides updates on all arrivals and departures.
