Some southern Ontario towns and cities could see their first blast of snow later this week.
Most of the GTA will likely only see rain but areas to the north will be cold enough for that precipitation to turn to snow.
After a mild and sunny Monday, the weather is forecast to be mainly cloudy and rainy in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton Region, Niagara Region and much of Durham Region.
Hamilton, however, will see its temperature drop to 4 C on Thursday bringing a 40 per cent chance of snow or rain in the morning, according to Environment Canada.
Areas in north Durham Region such as Port Perry could see snow on Friday evening and into the weekend. This area has a 40 per cent chance of showers or flurries on Friday and Saturday.
Just north of Peel Region, Orangeville’s forecast includes a 30 per cent chance of rain or flurries on Thursday, increasing to 60 per cent on Friday evening.
Barrie also has a 60 per cent chance of snow or rain Friday evening and on Saturday there is a 40 per cent chance of the wet stuff.
While the Weather Network long-range forecast had predicted wet snow on Nov. 26 in Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto and Durham Region, that has changed. The forecast now is for snow on Sunday, Dec. 1.
