Snow in the U.S. could disrupt flights out of Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
U.S. weather forecasters say there is a high probability for over 10 centimetres of snow by Friday night in northeast Pennsylvania and the southern Catskills of New York.
A mix of rain and snow is expected to hit the eastern seaboard.
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration indicated there could be potential traffic management measures along the U.S. Eastern Seaboard due to the snow.
“This may impact flights, particularly to the New York area,” Pearson Airport said in a post on X. “If you’re travelling there today, we recommend checking your flight status for updates.”
Mississauga and much of southern Ontario can expect rain today and Saturday. The first blast of snow could arrive next week in the GTA.
Travellers can always check their flight status here.
