The snow expected today could cause delays at Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
A winter weather travel advisory was issued for today (Jan. 23) with snowfall total accumulations of five to 10 centimetres expected in parts of southern Ontario.
Snow is expected to start this morning and there could be freezing drizzle late this evening and overnight.
The temperature is forecast to reach 0 C but with the wind chill it will feel like -5 C in Mississauga, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Around six centimetres of snow is expected today at the airport, Pearson Airport said on X.
The airfield surface maintenance specialists are preparing over 100 specialized snow removal vehicles to keep runways clear for roughly 900 flights expected to depart and arrive at Pearson today, the post reads.
“As always, with winter weather comes the possibility that some flights are delayed,” the post reads.
