Six teens arrested in stolen car, including Mississauga and Brampton girls

Girls from Brampton and Mississauga are among six teens arrested in a stolen car which had a gun inside.
According to Toronto Police, officers were patrolling near Highway 401 and Weston Road in Old Toronto on May 13. Around 10:15, the cruiser’s Automatic Licence Plate Reader alerted the officers to a stolen car.
They pulled the car over, finding six teenagers between ages 15 and 18 as well as a loaded pistol. The suspects include;
- An 18-year-old Mississauga woman
- A 15-year-old Toronto boy
- A 17-year-old Toronto boy
- A second 17-year-old Toronto boy
- A 15-year-old Brampton girl, and
- A 15-year-old Toronto girl
Their identities are protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act. All six teens appeared in court on May 14.
Each has been charged with 11 offences including;
- possession of stolen property over $5,000
- unauthorized possession of a firearm
- possession of a restricted firearm without holding a license
- possession of a loaded restricted firearm
- careless storage of a firearm
- careless storage of ammunition
- occupying a car with a firearm
- unlicensed possession of a restricted firearm
- possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace
- unlawful purchase of an automobile master key, and
- possession of break-in instruments
