A new thriller from the director of The Six Sense, M. Night Shyamalan, is filming in Mississauga.
Residents received a notice about the filming for “Good Grades” at a home on Stonehaven Drive, just north of Rattray Marsh. Production vehicles will be using Birchwood Park.
The preparation was expected to start today (Nov. 7), with filming of interior and exterior scenes happening on Nov. 10, 13, 14, 15 and 16.
Reports indicate there was also filming in Hamilton.
The production is a feature film from director M. Night Shyamalan who is known for the twisty 1999 psychological thriller film The Sixth Sense. He has produced a long list of films, including Lady in the Water and The Village.
Shyamalan directed Knock at the Cabin, released in February this year.
There are few details about this latest flick. It isn’t yet clear if Good Grades is a working title or not. Ontario Creates lists Shyamalan as the director of the feature production filming in the Toronto area from Oct. 16 to Dec. 13.
So far, there is no information on who will star in the film.
In February, Shyamalan told entertainment magazine NME about a new thriller planned to be out in 2024.
“I have a new idea that I’ve started writing. It’s out in 2024 and it’s very, very exciting. It’s a thriller. It’s very unusual and very new compared to what I’ve been trying to do [recently], but I’m feeling very excited about the story, so much so that I can’t wait to tell it to you guys,” Shyamalan told NME.
