Single-vehicle crash leads to impaired charges for Brampton driver

A Brampton resident faces charges after a crash in Bancroft.

Emergency crews responded to the single-vehicle crash on South Baptiste Lake Road in the Municipality of Highlands East shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 28, OPP said in a press release.

There were no reports of serious injuries in the crash.

But a driver faces charges.

Anish Mahajan, a 26-year-old resident of Brampton was charged with operation while impaired – with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, and operation while impaired – alcohol.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on Nov. 14.
