Update: Person in hospital after shots fired in Brampton neighbourhood

One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and two suspects are in custody after a shooting incident early Tuesday evening (Oct. 15) in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police received reports of weapons dangerous call after shots were fired near Mountainash Road and Bovaird Drive East at 5:05 p.m.

Multiple police arrived on the scene shortly after the incident.

A heavy police presence remains and the area has been secured and remains closed, say Peel Police.

“Please avoid the area,” said police.
