A new Shoppers Drug Mart is opening tomorrow morning (Feb. 19) in the Erin Mills area of Mississauga.

The 17,000-sq.-ft. store, located at 2815 Eglinton Ave. W., at Glen Erin Dr., officially opens to the public Saturday at 8 a.m. It will be open daily, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Pharmacist and associate owner Sarah Al-Khafaji says the new store will “support the neighbourhood’s health-and-wellness needs with the in-person, digital and delivery services customers trust, along with an expanded selection of prestige beauty and fresh grocery offerings.

“This new location will be more than a pharmacy, and our services go far beyond just dispensing prescribed medications and general counseling,” continued Al-Khafaji. “Our staff of community pharmacists can administer vaccines, including Shingles and HPV, as well as assist with managing diabetes through A1C testing and your cholesterol and overall heart health.”

Al-Khafaji has lived in Mississauga for the past 12 years and has served her patients for almost 10 years.

It’s her third Shoppers Drug Mart location in Mississauga. She also operates stores at Square One and at the corner of Mavis Rd. and Dundas St. W.

Shoppers Drug Mart head office officials say that throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Shoppers pharmacists have played a critical role in providing community care and vaccinating Canadians while continuing to fill prescriptions and provide guidance during uncertain times.

This newest Shoppers Drug Mart location will continue the tradition of offering the community the information and services they need and the quality of care they expect, officials say.
