Shop local to support entrepreneurs for Small Business Month in Brampton

You can help support local entrepreneurs and maybe turn a passion into a side hustle for Small Business Month in Brampton.

Throughout October, the city and the Brampton Entrepreneur Centre are offering free workshops and programs that can help residents “transform their ideas into reality” and open a small business.

With seminars, online courses, mentorship programs and more available for budding business people, the initiative is designed to support small businesses at all stages of development and growth.

“Small Business Month affirms the City’s dedication to the entrepreneurial spirit, acknowledging the innovation and resilience of local businesses driving economic development and creating jobs in Brampton,” the city said in a release.

The Downtown Brampton BIA has a directory of small businesses in Brampton that can help you find ways of supporting local sellers.

And aside from supporting local entrepreneurs for Small Business Month, there are also plenty of seminars and workshops to help you kick-start your own business journey in Brampton.

How to Start a Small Business: This step-by-step guide is available for aspiring entrepreneurs and offers guidance on how to take a concept and turn it into a business.

Entrepreneurs Connect: Every Thursday in October will have a networking event where business owners can share ideas, challenges, and success stories.

Brampton Ignite: A dynamic event designed to spark new business ideas and foster collaboration among local entrepreneurs. (The Brampton Ignite event runs on Oct. 16.

Holiday Magic – Visual Merchandising Workshop: This hands-on workshop can help smaller retail businesses create eye-catching displays ahead of the holiday season to attract more shoppers. The workshop runs on Oct. 21.
