Shooting leaves one dead in Mississauga

A man has died after an overnight shooting in Mississauga.
Emergency crews responded a call for shots fired near Goreway Drive and Morning Star Drive in Mississauga in the Goreway Drive and Morningstar Drive area in Mississauga around 12:05 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 29), Peel Regional Police said in a press release.
Upon arrival, police found a man suffering from apparent gunshot injuries.
Despite the best efforts of first responders, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Peel believe this was a targeted incident and that there is no risk to the general public.
Police didn’t release suspect information.
