A well-loved, family-run shawarma shop has closed its doors but will still be serving up dishes through a catering business in Brampton.
At the start of November, Sabroso Pita Express announced that the shawarma and pita restaurant was shutting down at its location at 380 Bovaird Dr E. in Brampton.
And even though the family-owned eatery has shut down its storefront, Sabroso has moved to a catering model and is available for event bookings.
“Serving you has been a true honor and joy, and every meal, laugh, and story exchanged will stay with us for a lifetime,” Sabroso said in an update on its social media pages. “While our restaurant is now closed, we’re thrilled to continue offering catering for gatherings of 10 or more.”
With dishes like pita and party platers, kababs, salads, humus and more, Sabroso says you can bring the restaurant’s flavors to your next event or party.

The closure isn’t the first time the restaurant has shifted its focus to catering as the shop had a previous location open near the Cassie Campbell Community Centre which has since closed.
Sabraso said in a post on Reddit that the family hopes to open a new brick-and-mortar restaurant in mid-2025.
“We appreciate all your guys support, it’s not the end,” Sabraso said.
