Several roads, ditches and culverts in Milton are still feeling the impact of the massive rainfall earlier this week.
A news release from the Town of Milton said they continue to address the storm damage.
“Residents are advised that closures are for safety purposes due to further potential washouts or damaged culverts,” said a spokesperson. “Motorists must obey traffic control signals and directions. Temporary infrastructure should not be removed, and motorists should not drive in prohibited areas.”
Lower Baseline Rd. is impacted in a number of areas, including:
- 2252 Lower Baseline Road (east of Regional Road 25): lane closure, yield to traffic
- 1670 Lower Baseline Road: lane closure, yield to traffic
- 1035 Lower Baseline Road (east of Trafalgar Road): full road closure 150m east of Trafalgar Rd. until the culvert can be replaced
In addition, Second Line (Nassagaweya) has a full road closure 1.7 km north of 15 Side Road until the culvert can be replaced
