Sept. 8 Weather: A cloudy and windy day with some rain coming up for southern Ontario

It will be a fairly windy and cloudy day with a chance of rain in southern Ontario.
For the early birds, today’s sunrise is at 6:47 a.m. – perfect for those who love to catch a glimpse of the morning sky!
Residents of Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Hamilton and Durham Region will wake up to a mix of sun and clouds.
There is also a 30 per cent possibility of morning rain across all cities, with brisk winds gusting up to 50 km/h.
Daytime temperatures will vary slightly across the region with Mississauga, Brampton and Halton expected to reach 20 C. Hamilton and Durham will experience a high of 19 C.
The UV index will climb to a moderate level of 7 across all cities.
Environment Canada advises protecting your skin when the UV index is three or higher, particularly between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Sunset begins at 7:38 p.m. —nine minutes earlier than last week.
By evening, skies will turn partly cloudy, with a 40 per cent chance of rain expected to return and continue overnight.
Temperatures are will to drop to 13 C in Mississauga, Brampton and Halton, while Hamilton will see a slight dip to 12 C. Durham will be the chilliest with temperatures falling to 9 C.
Rain will settle in on Monday, followed by a mix of sunshine and cloudy periods from Tuesday through Friday. Daytime temperatures will range between 21 C and 26 C, while nighttime lows will range between 9 C and 15 C.
