Another warm and sunny day is up ahead for southern Ontario, with hazy conditions expected by the afternoon.

For those who appreciate gazing at a stunning morning sky, today’s sunrise is at 6:46 a.m.

Residents of Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Hamilton and Durham Region will wake up to sunshine and crystal clear skies.

Daytime temperatures will vary slightly across the region with Mississauga, Brampton and Halton expected to reach 25 C. Hamilton and Durham will experience a high of 26 C.

The UV index will climb to a high level of 7 across all cities.

Environment Canada advises protecting your skin when the UV index is three or higher, particularly between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The humidex is anticipated to hit between 28 and 30, making conditions very uncomfortable for some individuals.

Additionally, Health Canada says that if outdoors, individuals should seek shade, wear protective clothing and hats, apply SPF 30 or higher sunscreen, avoid tanning, use UV-protective sunglasses and stay hydrated throughout the day.

By the afternoon, hazy conditions will develop, potentially bringing dust, smoke, or moisture that could blur visibility for drivers and anyone travelling outdoors.

Brisk winds of 20 to 30 km/h are also anticipated to pick up, easing by late afternoon.

By evening, clear skies are expected in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, and Durham, turning cloudy around midnight. In Hamilton, clouds will move in during the evening and are likely to persist overnight.

Temperatures will fall to 14 C in Mississauga, Brampton, and Halton, while Durham and Hamilton will see a slightly warmer night at 15 C.

The sunny weather is expected to give way to rain on Friday with daytime highs reaching 25 C. Evening temperatures will cool between 14 C and 15 C.
