More sun, more heat for southern Ontario

Another day of sun and above normal temperatures for this time of year is on tap for Mississauga and southern Ontario.

The stretch of sunny warm, weather continues Thursday (Sept. 19) and should last through the weekend, says Environment Canada.

Unlike the previous couple of days were early morning fog dissipated throughout the morning, the sunny skies will begin early and go through to the evening.

Temperatures will rise slightly to a high of 27 C, though the humidex will make it feel more like 31 C. The UV index will be 6 or high.

The clear skies will remain through the evening and into Thursday. An overnight low of 14 C is expected.

There will be three minutes less of daylight as the sun will rise a minute later at 7:02 a.m. and then set two minutes earlier in the evening at 7:22 p.m.

In all, there will be 12 hours and 20 minutes of daylight time.
