See the new splash pad, basketball courts and gardens at the Gore Meadows Activity Hub grand opening

A new splash pad, therapeutic garden, playgrounds and basketball courts are just some of the additions to the Gore Meadows Community Centre’s activity hub.
Work has been completed on amenities at the long-awaited Gore Meadows Activity Hub, adding new playgrounds, an outdoor fitness area, basketball courts and an amphitheatre with tiered seating to name a few upgrades.
Located outside the Gore Meadows Community Centre and Library, at 10150 The Gore Road, the Activity Hub is open now but the City will be holding a grand-opening celebration on Sunday (June 25) at 11:00 a.m. and residents are invited to come out and take in all the new features including:
- Basketball Courts
- Artificial turf playfield
- Playgrounds
- Outdoor fitness area
- Outdoor seniors area with a shaded gathering area and yoga classroom
- Outdoor amphitheatre with tiered and accessible seating
- Splashpad/waterplay area
- Shade therapeutic garden
- Landscaping
- Seating areas
The upgrades are part of the Gore Meadows East Community Park Development project which looks to transform the park into a destination in Brampton.
Construction is set to begin this summer and will see even more features added when the project is completed by 2025 including three cricket pitches, nine tennis courts, six pickleball courts, and picnic areas.
The Gore Meadows Activity Hub grand opening runs on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. at 10150 The Gore Road in Brampton.
