No tickets to tonight’s Stanley Cup playoff match between the Maple Leafs and Bruins in Toronto? No problem, because you can watch all the action on a massive screen here in Brampton.
Toronto fought back against Boston on Tuesday to stay in the first-round playoff series, tallying a 2-1 win in overtime to keep the Leafs’ postseason dreams alive.
The win means the City of Brampton is staying in the playoff spirit with viewing parties broadcasting Thursday’s do-or-die tilt.
Hockey fans and all Bramptonians are invited to Garden Square to watch game six in the series on the massive display screen and cheer on the Leafs.
The game starts at 6 p.m., and a win would keep the Leafs in contention for the second round. Some seating is available but guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
The Leafs will be without 69-goal scorer Auston Matthews again tonight, who has been fighting an illness throughout the series according to coach Sheldon Keefe.
If the team pulls off another win then the final game in the series will run on Saturday with another viewing party in Garden Square.
Coming back against Boston would be another comeback story for Toronto, which ended a nearly 20-year playoff losing streak with a first-round win against the Tampa Bay Lighting in last year’s NHL playoffs.
