School bus crash on QEW has lanes closed in Oakville

A school bus has been involved in a collision with another vehicle on the QEW.

Ministry of Transportation reports indicate the incident took place in the eastbound lanes of the highway near Bronte Road in Oakville around 3 p.m.

There are no reports of injuries or if school children were on the bus at the time.

Initial indications say ambulances were not called to the scene.

Traffic through the area has slowed as some of the east lanes have been closed.

Drivers in the westbound lanes, slowing down to view the commotion caused by the presence of flashing lights, are also causing delays in that direction.

The Ontario Provincial Police have not yet commented on the accident but an update is expected.
