Get your green thumbs ready as Brampton is gearing up for the spring gardening season with the return of the city’s annual seed swap.

Seedy Saturday is a yearly tradition for horticultural enthusiasts in the Flower City, giving residents a chance to learn more about gardening, share and buy seeds, and take in a day of family-friendly fun.

The event is run in partnership with the Brampton Horticultural Society and will feature vendors, as well as a panel of gardening experts covering topics like seed care, pollinator gardens and more.

“No matter the gardening skill level, this event will introduce non-gardeners to the world of horticulture and experienced gardeners will have an opportunity to build on their skills,” the city said in a release.

Other attractions include a Kids’ Zone for the younger crowd and the Seedy Café for refreshments.

The Seedy Saturday and Garden Show is open to guests of all ages and runs on March 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Century Gardens Recreation Centre.
