Santa Claus parade to return to Brampton with new route

The annual Santa Claus parade is making a comeback in Brampton with a brand new route.
After briefly being put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the in-person Santa Claus Parade parade will return for the first time since 2019.
The parade, which will take place on Saturday Nov. 19, at 5:00 p.m., is set to feature more than 50 entries and will include floats, live music, dance groups and more to help the Brampton community get into the holiday spirit.
And while this in-person event is something residents can look forward to, they’re being reminded that the parade will follow an alternate route this year due to the ongoing construction in downtown Brampton.
As a result of the construction, the Brampton Santa Claus Parade Committee worked to find a new location for the 2022 parade while taking many factors into consideration.
The parade will now begin at the intersection of Bramalea Rd. and Central Park Dr. and will head north on Bramalea Rd. towards North Park Dr.
It will then head east on North Park Dr. and conclude at the intersection of North Park Dr. and Jordan Blvd.
While parking will be spread around the parade route, those who are interested in attending are advised to arrive early to secure a spot to park and watch the parade.
