Santa Claus cleared for Ontario air space on Christmas Eve flight around the world

It’s official – Santa Claus has been cleared to fly over Ontario and the rest of Canada as he delivers presents around the world on Christmas Eve.
Canada gave Santa the green light for his take-off in anticipation of the Christmas Eve flight through an urgent request on Monday, with Oakville MP Anita Anand signing off as Minister of Transport and Internal Trade.
“I just received your flight plan and I’m giving you the green light to take off, Santa,” Anand said in a video call with Mr. Clause on Monday.
With so many homes to visit in just one night the rush approval should mean a speedy delivery of presents to anyone on Santa’s “nice” list this year.
Santa may have his workshop in the North Pole but the jolly old elf is also an honorary Canadian citizen. He even has his own festive postal code where kids can send letters, appropriately the letters and number H0H 0H0.
Kids of all ages can track Santa as he and his reindeer team chart a course around the globe with the NORAD Santa Tracker.
As of 5 p.m., Santa was approaching Norway with over three billion, eight hundred eighty-eight million gifts delivered.
And with a notorious, green and furry porch pirate recently nabbed by police in Halton, the holiday season in Ontario should be merry and bright.
