Safety concerns rise as search continues for man missing in Caledon, police say

Police are out for the second day in a row looking for a young man missing in Caledon whose safety may be at risk.

The OPP put out an alert on Thursday that officers were looking for 22-year-old Avery, who was last seen in the area of Kennedy Road and Dougall Avenue in Caledon on Sept. 25.

Investigators now say there are concerns for his safety and officers are actively searching for the missing man in Southfields Village around Old Kennedy Road.

Investigators are asking members of the public for any leads that could help locate Avery.

The missing 22-year-old is described as standing around 5’8″ and weighing 180 pounds with a medium build. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black shirt with a white collar. Avery was also last seen carrying a black backpack, a black bag and a black garbage bag.
