The City of Brampton is looking to extend Clark Blvd from Rutherford Rd to Hansen Rd which will accommodate a new four-lane road.

Additionally, the City’s plans include the widening of Eastern Avenue from two to four lanes from Hansen Rd South to Kennedy Rd.

The City of Brampton’s Transportation Master Plan has identified necessary improvements to Eastern Avenue as well as the extension of Clark Boulevard from Rutherford Road to Hanson Road.

They have also initiated a Schedule ‘C’ Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) Study for the extension of the roads to accommodate the new four-lane road as well as the widening of Eastern Avenue from two to four lanes.

The study will evaluate the transportation capacity needs, both current and future and will help to identify possible improvements.

These will aim to accommodate the needs of pedestrians, cyclists, transit and motorists within the project limits and will include safety improvements.

The study will also identify impacts to the social, cultural and natural environment and mitigation measures.

From now until October 9, the City is inviting residents to have their say about these improvements in an online survey.
