Road work will cause a one-day detour on a busy Brampton Transit route and temporarily close a bus stop.

Crews are working on road resurfacing work at Humber College Boulevard between Lynmont Road and John Garland Boulevard in Brampton, leading to shake ups on Route 50 Gore Road.

Stop No. 8065 at Humber College Boulevard west of John Garland Boulevard has been temporarily closed, and passengers will need to board  Route 50 Gore Road buses at bus stop 8064 on Humber College Boulevard west of Lynmont Road.

Here are the detours on Route 50 Gore Road Northbound on Monday:

  • Regular routing to Humber College Boulevard at Lynmont Road
  • Right onto Lynmont Road
  • Left onto Milkwood Avenue
  • Left onto Martin Grove Road
  • Left onto John Garland Boulevard

The city is also changing the timing of transit routes across the city just in time for back-to-school season, including tweaks to Züm lines that will help transit drivers move riders through Brampton safely and on time.

The changes will come into effect at the start of September with changes to multiple Brampton Transit, Züm and BT On Demand routes, including peak and midday service adjustments on the 501 Züm.
